Pro-#HillarySoQualifed Hashtag Trends on Twitter. Gets Hilariously Hijacked...
Exhibit Q of a hashtag gone incredibly wrong: #HillarySoQualified. It started when Bernie Sanders said Hillary Clinton isn't qualified to be President:
“Secretary Clinton appears to be getting a little bit nervous. She has been saying lately that she thinks that I am quote unquote, not qualified to be president. Now, let me, let me just say in response to Secretary Clinton, I don’t believe that she is qualified, if she is, through her super PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest donations. I don’t think you are qualified if you have voted for the disastrous war in Iraq. I don’t think you are qualified if you have supported virtually every disastrous trade agreement which has cost us millions of decent paying jobs. I don’t think you are qualified if you supported the Panama Free Trade Agreement, something I very strongly opposed, and which is as all of you know, has allowed corporations and wealthy people all over the world to avoid paying their taxes to their countries.”
Her supporters came up with #HillarySoQualifed to show support. Clever girls.
Pretty sure you can guess what happens next.
Of course, being the internet... it devolved quickly.
It's funny because it's happening to her. Does it make me hypocritical? Maybe so. Biased? Absolutely. But you know what? I don't really care. She's killed people (ALLEGEDLY). Granted, this is Twitter, which is not to be confused with real life, but it is emblematic of a growing reality.
Hillary was to be coronated by the DNC, but she is their least likable candidate in EVER. That's why you can't take a stroll through your hipster area of town without stumbling over a "#FeelTheBern" poster, while Hillary signage is nowhere to be found. Sure, she'll probably win the nomination. But even young, liberal women simply do not like her.
There hasn't been a candidate for the Democratic party this weak since John Kerry. All Republicans need to do is not screw this up. Unfortunately...
