This should not be that shocking, since we know what Hillary really thinks of the Second Amendment and we know leftists lie about guns to eventually ban guns. But this 1993 video of her endorsing a 25% tax on guns?
Yeah, I don’t think so…
Sen. Bill Bradley, D-N.J., picked up Mrs. Clinton’s support for his idea of slapping stiff taxes on ”purveyors of violence:” a 25 percent sales tax on guns and $2,500 license fees for gun dealers.
”Speaking personally … I’m all for that,” said the first lady. But she stressed she was just speaking for herself.
”Well, let me say that there is no more important personal endorsement in the country today, and I thank you very much,” said a pleased-as-punch Bradley.
So, why does this matter? Simple: goes to credibility, your honor. Hillary Clinton is, was, and always will be anti-gun and anti-Second Amendment (also read Chelsea Clinton: My Mom’s Supreme Court Will Bring Gun Control…’). When it comes to your right to keep and bear arms, Hillary Clinton is as trustworthy as Amy Schumer around funnier comedians. So when the general election goes into full swing, if Hillary starts moving to the center (as leftists often do during a general), remember this flashback post. Remember how she was all for slapping a huge sales tax on an already pricey item (a gun) in an effort to curb those nasty “purveys of violence.” Back in 1993. When she was just First Lady. Not Madam President Pantsuit.
Hillary Clinton’s anti-Second Amendment stance is plenty reason not to vote for her. But, like all leftists, there are many additional reasons to put more trust in an ironing board than Mrs. Clinton. At least an ironing board won’t leave you stranded with a bunch of terrorists, then blame a video the next few weeks. Here are just five more reasons to steer clear of Secretary She-Demon.
