Former manager sues Starbucks for discrimination, claims he was fired over his identity... a straight white man
If the left is going to make sexual orientation a protected class, then that includes straight people. While these same individuals may scream discrimination over things that donβt exist, they are the most exclusive political party in all of American history.
No one understands this better than Christopher Thevanesan, whose heterosexuality was βweaponizedβ at his previous job at Starbucks.
Fired Starbucks manager claims he faced βegregiousβ discrimination for being heterosexual https://t.co/q4yvibQlnB

Thevanesan was fired from a New York Starbucks and claims it had something to do with him being straight as a ruler.
According to the Independent:
A longtime Starbucks manager is suing the coffeehouse chain for discrimination, retaliation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, accusing his bosses of ignoring the βextreme and outrageousβ harassment he claims he suffered on the job because he is straight.
Christopher Thevanesan, a βheterosexual, gender typical manβ in Rochester, New York, claims supervisors at his location treated him βin a materially different mannerβ than employees who were βnot heterosexual and/or gender typical men,β according to a lawsuit filed under New York Stateβs Human Rights Law and obtained by The Independent.
The suit, which was served on Starbucks in late February, describes the 47-year-old Thevanesan as βa model employee who performed the essential functions of his employment in an exemplary fashion.β However, it contends, his LGBTQ+ coworkers created a βhostileβ work environment for Thevanesan due to his βgender typicality and sexual orientation,β and higher-ups allegedly fired him when he complained.
I would not be surprised if this were true, as we live in a time where fitting into identity groups is seen as an accomplishment. DEI can include people solely because of their bedroom preferences and itβs not uncommon to see people being punished for having a politically incorrect orientation.
Reached by phone on Thursday, Thevanesan β a person of color who now works at a bank β said he was reluctant to comment before consulting with Neil Flynn, the attorney who filed the lawsuit on his behalf.
In a subsequent call, Flynn told The Independent that he believed Thevansanβs heterosexuality had been βweaponizedβ against him.
Leftists will make these traits their entire identity solely to get themselves to fit into a victim class. They embody these "characteristics" so much that it's unsurprising to see them punish people for traits that the majority of the population has.
The company had an obligation to make sure the workplace was free from harassment and they have that obligation no matter one's orientation. So while Starbucks may or may not be guilty of what they are accused of, we currently live in a time where it would be unsurprising if true.
I hope he prevails in this lawsuit solely so the left can understand you canβt punish people for insignificant traits. You also should not hire or promote people based on bedroom preferences and the sooner the left realizes that the better off everyone will be.
That said, Starbucks coffee tastes like burnt trash and it's incomprehensible how it has such a cultural chokehold on people.
