Hey, common ground! On Sirius XM, Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, known affectionally here as Pete BUTTGIG, admitted he can't partake in LGBTQ media for much the same reasons we cannot stand them: they're annoying and a little too gay.

“It's tough for me to know. I just am what I am, and, you know, there’s going to be a lot of that. That’s why I — I can’t even read the LGBT media anymore, because it’s all, ‘too gay, not gay enough, wrong kind of gay,'” Buttigieg stated. “All I know is that life became a lot easier when I just started allowing myself to be myself and I’ll let other people write up whether I’m ‘too this’ or ‘too that.'”

Best thing I've heard all day. Which I know isn't saying much, it's been one of those "meh" weeks. You know it, I know it, might as well admit it. LGBT media is rather irksome. Well, media itself is annoying. But LGBT media is double secret annoying. We're talking about the same people who bemoan Pennywise, Stephen King's freakish clown which haunts nightmares and apparently eats people, not being a gay ally. Even though Pete here, who is gay, is the first openly gay Democrat candidate to run, he's apparently not gay enough for some of the gays. Or too gay for some other gays. We're talking about a dude who's married to another dude. How is that not gay enough?

Seems there's a trend in certain minority group circles about one embodying the group, and if one doesn't, one isn't an authentic member of that group. We've seen the same play out in the People of Color group many times. A gay man is never "too gay." Nor is he "gay enough." He is precisely as gay as he needs to be.
