World Cup announces 'Pride' themed match between two anti-LGBTQ foreign countries, and those countries want it changed

One may argue that Seattle is one of the most liberal cities in the country. This may or may not be why they decided to make the FIFA World Cup theme Pride, as it falls in June. The only problem with that, you ask? Well, the two countries competing next year, Iran and Egypt, don't take too kindly when it comes to all things pride. In fact, it’s not what you would call “legal” to celebrate one's prideful behavior in those places. Funny how those things work out.
Egypt and Iran demand FIFA cancel LGBTQI+ celebrations during their 2026 World Cup match.
Egypt’s Football Association has told the football organization that it would ‘directly contradict the cultural, religious and social values’ of Egypt.

According to ESPN:
Leaders in the nation's football federations publicly rebuked the idea of playing the match June 26 at Seattle Stadium, which local organizers say will include a "once-in-a-lifetime moment to showcase and celebrate LGBTQIA+ communities in Washington."
This is bigoted behavior and what the left would call “xenophobic.” I thought all cultures were equal, and we must have open arms to all of them. If so, then we must accept not only that they don't take kindly to pride themes, but we must affirm their truth. Someone should really inform the left that they have their dogma backwards.
In Egypt, the federation issued a statement late Tuesday saying it sent a letter to FIFA "categorically rejecting any activities related to supporting homosexuality during the match."
Already, organizers in Seattle have promoted an art contest for the game, including one entry of a rainbow-flagged sun rising over Mount Rainier as a crab goalie goes for a soccer ball while holding a cup of coffee in its pinchers.
LOL. So pathetic. These organizers truly thought they were on to something, didn't they? Well, it would appear that not only is Pride becoming deeply unpopular with the American people, but it was also not very popular in many other countries to begin with. Why the left is not protesting these countries is beyond reason, as they claim places like America are the problem.
And the worst part? They won't call out these countries for their “exclusive” ways, despite them labeling America as the bigots. This is precisely why we have the saying, Had the left had no double standards, they would have no standards at all. But what else is new?
