Add Piers Morgan to the very short list of liberals who have apologized to some of the people they ridiculed after being proven wrong about the COVID vaccine.

During the height of the pandemic, Australia could hardly be called a free country. That’s why they denied tennis star Novak Djokovic entry. What made it so illogical was that the jab never actually prevented anyone from getting or spreading the disease, among other things. So, to refuse someone entry simply for not falling in line and injecting themselves with a pharmaceutical drug is an attack on personal autonomy. But you already knew that, didn’t you?

You know who didn’t know that? Morgan. That’s why he apologized—for painfully missing the mark more than four years ago.

According to the Daily Mail:

Novak Djokovic accepted an apology from Piers Morgan after he was branded a 'liar and cheat' after the Serbian tennis star was deported from the 2021 Australian Open over a Covid scandal.

'BREAKING: Covid rule cheat, immigration form liar, & anti-vaxxer icon Novak Djokovic loses final appeal against deportation & will be thrown out of Australia without being able to compete in Aus Open. Good,' he tweeted at the time.

While it’s great that Morgan has apologized for those statements, he—like many other leftists—was simply falling in line with what the “experts” demanded of us. And that, in itself, shows just how little thought these people were actually putting into it.

When I look back on that and reflect on that, I would like to say I am sorry for the intemperate language I used against you, because I did not know you, I took what I was reading and hearing at face value and I am sorry for over egging the rhetorical souffle.’

He maintained that he had not been pro or anti-vax, but instead had been in favour of 'freedom of choice'

The same people who shamed those who made the “choice” not to get the vaccine are the ones demanding the “choice” to abort their babies. Strange, isn’t it? Why do you think that is?

‘The only thing I would add not to really dig deeper into this whole situation on the Covid and vaccination is that I was never a proponent of anti-vax or pro vax. I was always freedom of choice. And that was misinterpreted.

The pandemic opened a lot of people’s eyes to the fact that the left is anything but on the side of freedom. Officials around the world genuinely believed they knew what was best for your health. Because, as the saying goes, if you can’t even control what goes into your own body, what choice do you really have?

While it’s great that Morgan apologized, we’re still waiting for all the other leftists to do the same. Time will tell if that ever happens—but I think we all know the answer to that.
