Disney CEO Makes Excuses for Jimmy Kimmel and Joy Behar's Use of Blackface

Corey Stallings
March 09, 2019

One of the hot-button issues of the moment is white folk sporting blackface. It all started with that Democratic douchenugget Ralph Northam and his old yearbook photo. Somehow he managed to moonwalk his way clear of all attempts to oust him.

Throughout the controversy, old instances of lefties like Jimmy Kimmel and Joy Behar pretending to be melanated individuals came to light. You'd think there would be serious consequences for them. Their boss, the Disney CEO, says "nope."

Disney CEO Bob Iger on Thursday was confronted about media hypocrisy when it comes to blackface. Two of ABC’s hosts, Jimmy Kimmel and Joy Behar, have both used blackface in the past. Yet, Iger insisted that “context” must be considered for these cases. (ABC, as a reminder, is owned by Disney.)

Justin Danhof quizzed, “I find it puzzling that the company seems okay with Kimmel’s and Behar’s previous racist actions. Can you comment on their use of blackface?”

Iger started with a blanket declaration: “We don't condone the use of blackface under any circumstances in our world today.” He then seemed to equivocate: “We take into account context and –- in all cases we become aware of —  people that have been in blackface in public.”

So, judging from Disney CEO guy's response, there's a context where blackface is a-okay?

It's funny how he says he doesn't condone blackface under any circumstances. Then, he immediately contradicts himself by talking about "context." If it's "unacceptable in all circumstances," there's no context where it's acceptable. Them's the rules.

Methinks Disney guy is speaking so vaguely because he doesn't want to admit what the "context" argument really means. Kimmel and Behar are card-carrying lefty torchbearers. Finding them guilty and putting them out on their shoe polish-covered posteriors would do great damage to "the cause."

Let's be honest here. If Kimmel and Behar had an R after their names, they'd be in the unemployment line ASAFP. Though, seeing as Jimbo lines up on the "correct" side of the aisle, Disney is willing to let his transgressions slide. Pathetic.

Speaking of blackface:
