When the word "alien" is called offensive, people tend to be talking about the legal term for illegal migrants. It's been deemed offensive by the leftist freaks who decide what gets throttled on Big Tech platforms. Hence, using the word illegal migrant when discussing Joe Biden's border crisis. Pop tart Demi Lovato would like you all to know that the word "alien" is offensive to aliens. As in the Alf, ET, and Mos Eisley Cantina kinda.

Lovato has a trend of trying way too hard to be woke. But her comments to something called PedestrianTV have set a new gold standard. The (I guess) singer has a new show about investigating alien sightings on one of the 217 streaming platforms. Just don't call them alien sightings:

"I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to [be harmful] to us, it would have happened by now. But I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That's why I like to call them ETs!"

This next part from Pedestrian, I want to think I'm being punked by. There's a chance that by the time you read this, there will be an update that I got fooled by satire. But we're talking about celebrity stan culture, so this disclaimer from the author is probably sincere.

"Editor's note: As per Demi's guidance, we have refrained from using the A-word in this article as it's an offensive term, no matter who you're directing it at. It's ETs, folks. File that away, please!"

What's disturbing is that our obsession with celebrities being what it is, I can easily see enough leftist dinkuses rallying behind this. The entire Aliens franchise will be canceled. Terminator will come with a disclaimer. Vox will have an explainer over how problematic Doctor Who is. Once leftists get obsessed with changing words and declaring dumb things offensive, there's no stopping them. Just ask Dave Chappellle.

Though, the term "illegal ETs" has a nice ring to it.
