UFC President @danawhite swats off an attempted gotcha from NPR's Steve Inskeep, who suggests he's a hypocrite for supporting Trump while employing immigrants and refugees as his fighters

UFC 250 at the White House is next month, and you can expect some grade-A journalisming in the build-up. Every fighter on the card is going to be asked to speak out against Trump and/or issues they've never thought about -- because they've been in fight camps for the past three months -- so that everyone else can be baited into reacting. They won't be as media-trained as Dana White, who handled this silly question from NPR perfectly.
Steve Inskeep offered your typical radical left (aka "moderate" democrat) premise of common sense illegal immigration reform. If you believe in borders and enforcing laws, it's because you hate brown people. Ignoring all the brown people who also believe in borders and enforcing laws. Or those who work in immigration enforcement. The left isn't good at details or intellectual honesty.
Isn't it hypocritical for Dana White to be friends with Donald Trump while he employs fighters that, quote, Trump "wants out of the country?"
Setting aside things like work visas depending on which fighters Inskeep thinks he's talking about. And, let's also set aside that many of the fighters themselves, the ones Inskeep is making implications about, don't mind Trump all that much. And, while we're at it, let's also set aside that the question is retarded.
No, it's not hypocritical of Dana White at all.
That's not necessarily true. What the president wants -- what everybody has talked about, including the Democrats back in the day -- you have to get documented the right way. There's a lot of people waiting in line to get green cards in this country. The borders have been open for the last 4 years, and lots of criminals came in here, lots of bad people. They got them out first. I don't think the president has ever said he doesn't want people from other countries coming here. If you do it the wrong way, yes.
We'll see how the first press conference goes once we get down to fight week. If you set up a drinking game and did a shot every time one of the fighters gets an actual question on MMA or their fight, you'd be sober enough to drive home.
