Man Forced To Strangle Coyote For Ten Minutes To Save His Life, And... wait, what?
It’s not uncommon to hear about the unfortunate attack on someone's pet because of a coyote. However, these “opportunistic feeders” have started to take some brazen actions, as it’s now it's apparently not out of the ordinary to hear one going after a full-grown adult. But what is uncommon is when that coyote and man get in a fight to the death for nearly 10 minutes.
A man is alive today after a coyote “jumped” him, solely because he had no choice but to choke out the animal to his death.

LOL. Did the coyote really think he could make that man his lunch?
According to the New York Post:
James Pulliam said he was having a smoke outside of his home in Roxboro late Friday when he suddenly felt like something was “watching him.”
“I just felt like he was hunting me or something,” Pulliam told The News and Observer.
Just seconds later is when the coyote made his attack.
“He jumped on me and I caught him in the air, he was biting me, and so when I threw him down and I’m trying to slide out of the way, he just kept coming,” he said.
Pulliam tripped and fell while trying to kick the coyote away, saying he felt like he was fighting for his life. In the panic, he grabbed the biting animal by the throat and held on.
“I had to rip my left hand out of his mouth, and when I got my left hand out, I just choked him all the way till the police got there,” he said.
To reassure himself that the coyote was no longer a threat, he choked the animal for 10 whole minutes before confirming he was dead.
“I was afraid, don’t get me wrong, but it’s either me or him,” Pulliam said.
This was not even a small guy, and if the coyote did not have rabies, which authorities are testing him for, why have these animals become so brazen? While it’s common in places like California for these animals to go after cats and small dogs, and some even go after larger pets, it’s pretty rare to hear of them going after large adults.
Additionally, that was a pretty large coyote, so it might be the case that the animal has been working himself up to such an attack, and unfortunately for him, that was his last. That said, hopefully Pulliam is not too traumatized from this ordeal, and it's a relief he's doing okay, all things considered.
