🚨NEW: Charlamagne thinks Trump-Epstein letter is phony & "PLANTED" to *HELP* president🚨
"I don't believe that painting, though, I'ma be honest with you. That drawing."
"I think somebody down with Trump planted that."
"Because once you debunk that and prove that it's fake,… pic.twitter.com/tB0NJHcdzc

You know your side messed up when, in order to make sense of how badly you messed up, you need to break out the conspiracy theories that the other side pulled some shenanigans to make you look bad. That's what Charlamagne tha God is going with to describe the -- I guess now "infamous" -- Trump-Epstein birthday letter. He thinks this is so stupid, the only logical explanation is that pro-Trump people planted the letter, knowing how predictable and easily manipulated the media would be.
To paraphrase John Dutton, his logic is so flawed it almost makes sense.
I want you to go off of memory what we were told Trump did in 2003. Side note: this is when Trump was still a Democrat.
The story told by the Wall Street Journal was that Trump handwrote a poem to his friend Jeffrey Epstein about the two of them keeping secrets. Not only that, he drew a picture of a naked lady. The WSJ didn't publish the letter. They didn't provide a photo of the letter. They wouldn't even show the White House a copy of the letter so that the White House knew what they were commenting on.
I want you to, accepting all of this is true, get a mental image of what you think such a letter would look like.
This is what it actually looked like.
The Epstein saga is becoming a political dud & nothingburger.
-Google searches for Epstein are down 89% from just 3 weeks ago.
-Trump's approval rating is holding steady & much higher than term 1 at this point in his presidency
-Less than 1% say it's the nation's top issue pic.twitter.com/rnp2M8qzdf

Whoops, wrong clip. That was a poll on how little the American people cared about this story, taken a month after the WSJ's scandalous story.
This is the letter in question. I would have embedded the WSJ tweet, but it was marked as unembeddable for some reason.
Something that looks like it was typed out on a typewriter (Google what a typewriter is, kids) that sounds nothing like anything Donald Trump would ever say, was printed out on a piece of paper that Trump allegedly signed (we won't get into the signature forensics), and that someone drew a silhouette around.
This is the handwritten letter and hand-drawn sketch of a naked lady we were told Trump drew to be sent to be part of an Epstein 50th Birthday Book. That we weren't shown when the story originally "broke." That, two months later, we are seeing now.
Mayhaps Charlamagne has a point.
