One would hope that the reason people become doctors is because they understand that human life is inherently valuable.

Logically, human life can either be inherently valuable or it's not. It's not a subjective statement and cannot be ambiguous depending on the individual. It is or it is not. And I am sure everyone reading this already knows that it is.

So even if someone wants to end their life, even if someone is terminally ill, even if someone is not born yet, their life is inherently valuable and it is baffling that so many people in society do not agree with this statement.

There is a reason why people say progressives are in a death cult. It's because they are constantly finding more ways to end human life. Usually, that manifests through their insane fight for abortion "rights". But one of the many problems with progressives is that you can never be progressive enough. The goalpost is always moving. That is why the term "progress" is in their name. Not because they progress society, but because they move society.

Abortion was not enough to please the Canadian government. Subsequently, it was decided to expand its assisted suicide program to those who are mentally ill. But doctors, who are tasked with saving lives, just could not do the exact opposite of what they dedicated their lives to.

According to The Daily Mail:

"Canada has delayed a plan to offer assisted suicide to people suffering solely from mental illness, health officials announced.

The controversial policy, which critics feared would lead to people killing themselves out of desperation, currently allows anyone in Canada with an incurable medical condition to apply to die, even if the disease is not terminal.

The country's law around medically assisted dying is one of the most liberal in the world. In 2022 alone, about 13,000 Canadians were euthanized as part of the program.

However, health officials said Monday that there are not enough doctors, especially psychiatrists, in the country to evaluate mentally ill people who wish to die."

At one point down the progressive line, the Canadian government decided it was better that people died like dogs than go through hard times. But that's not a solution. That is state-funded euthanasia. That is evil. But the worst part about this is that mentally ill people are not in the right mind when they think about these sorts of things. It even says in the description of the term that they are not mentally sound. And the state has taken advantage of that because they would rather not deal with these individuals. They see them as too much of a burden on the "healthcare" system and would rather they be dead.

And they want the public to believe that that is the "compassionate" thing to do. Get real.

This should never have even been a thought. Because as we can see, once progressives start "thinking", nothing good comes out of that.

Let's just hope that the program never makes a return.
