Watch: You've Been Lied To... and Crowder Called It
From Climate Change to COVID to WWIII, the left is never held accountable when nearly none of their predictions come to fruition. Today’s show breaks down how this phenomenon is becoming far too common on the right.
"It never comes true, and they are never held to account because it's a worldview with no fundamental moral backbone. It's just 'this is bad, that is bad,' and progress for the sake of progress. They're never held accountable,” Crowder said. “And we have that emerging on the Right because these people don’t even know they are controlled by an algorithm. The algorithm rewards controversy and lies if it’s more clickable than the truth. We can’t run our country that way, and we can’t be doing this to our audience.”
While it’s much harder to hold those on the left accountable, the same is not true when it comes to the right.
"People get stories wrong — it happens, when you find out a story isn’t exactly how it was presented. People don’t add up multiple different elements and cherry-pick facts out of thin air, weave them together with narratives that don’t make sense together, and create one underlying conspiracy and present it to you as fact by mistake," Crowder said. "That cannot be attributed to ignorance — and it's happening a lot, and it has real-world consequences."
It’s been several days since the U.S. took out Iran’s nuclear program—and despite all the panic, World War III hasn’t broken out. Crowder called it multiple times, warning that the media would overhype the situation. Now that the dust has settled, it's time to hold certain people accountable for the dramatic claims they made about Trump’s military decision, and that includes many people on the right.
Crowder predicted that the conflict would likely be done in about a week, and he did not expect much more to come of this, especially WWIII.
"We were accused of being shields and liars," Crowder said.
According to a July 17 post from Candace Owens, “They tried to redefine antisemitism, criminalize criticism of Israel on college campuses, and most crucially, seed the idea that the declaration of Christ as our King amounted to hatred against Jews. All of this was done in preparation for the ‘Greater Israel’ agenda, regarding which they attempted to emotionally manipulate Americans to accept. The conspiracy theorists were right again. It was always about a planned war with Iran and a doomed heretic.”
“This was not presented to you as opinion; it was presented to you as fact,” Crowder said. “Is that what you are seeing? If it’s not what you are seeing, it’s dishonest.”
Owens also tweeted that "We are a colony of Israel" and that "your politicians are bought and paid for."
Among her most extreme reactions, she made a shocking suggestion during the height of the hysteria, telling service members to seek a dishonorable discharge over a war that wasn’t even happening.
“It turns into real life if people believe it,” Crowder said.
Tucker Carlson also warned that bombing nuclear sites would trigger a costly war with thousands of American deaths and massive financial consequences—claims he says are based on Pentagon estimates, not speculation.
Dave Smith also slammed Trump’s approach to Iran, arguing that it was so reckless he should be removed from office.
And according to Ian Carroll, “This ‘stopping Iran from getting a nuke’ narrative is propaganda cooked up by Israel — the nation that stole its nuclear weapons tech, hasn’t signed the treaties, and doesn’t allow inspections.”
“You are being told by these people that everyone else was lying — that it was a psy-op, a false flag, blood for Israel, a guaranteed war, and that there was no danger of Iran getting nukes,” Crowder said. “They told you not to believe anyone else. And now I’m telling you: please use your judgment and discernment going forward.”
Crowder added that Trump has been tougher on Israel than Obama and has focused more on keeping people from dying.
“He has been remarkably consistent. Don’t we want a president who does not want people to die?” Crowder said.
