Caitlin Clark got drafted to the Indiana Fever last night, and her starting salary has been released. Also starting is the outrage over how unfair it is that she is getting paid so little when male players are derpity derpy derp. You can expect these classic Bill Burr bars on the WNBA to make their way around the Internet again, so you might as well watch them here!
Clark will be earning $338,000 over four years.

I don't know what's more embarrassing. The fact that the only reason people have tuned in to women's basketball will be making less than a right-wing blogger? Or the fact that she is walking away from $3.1 MILLION in NIL money?
The outrage over it is starting from the regular suspects.
These ladies deserve so much more…

Honestly, y’all should be embarrassed for even posting this salary. Women deserve better. https://t.co/LqNH88NxTm

I don't know if this is legit or not, but if so, it's just disrespectful.

"But Brodigan, what about equal pay for equal work."
It's not equal. The WNBA generated $200 million in revenue last year. The NBA? $4.5 BILLION. Hence Burr's bit: "We gave you a f*cking league and none of you showed up. Where are all the feminists? That place should be packed with feminists--faces painted, wearing jerseys, flashing their t*tties--going f*cking nuts like the guys do in the upper deck."
“Ladies, if you could just support the WNBA the way you support a fat chick that’s proud of her body, and is no longer a threat to you, that league would be doing better numbers than the NBA.”

"Fans" of the WNBA has always been more about virtue signaling than showing up or spending any money to support their favorite teams. Case in point: how many of you had to look up what an "Indiana Fever" was? It sounds like something John Cougar Mellencamp gave groupies in the 80s.
Could this change under Clark? Sure. More people tuned in to see her play in the NCAA finals than for the men's NBA championship. Warner Brothers Discovery is looking to get in on the ground level and require American rights for WNBA games. Say what you will about the WNBA's paltry attendance numbers, they still sell more tickets than WBD's other property All Elite Wrestling.
But as of April 16th at a little before 8:00 in the morning, Clark is getting paid an above-average wage for entry level into the WNBA. If there isn't a provision in her contract that she gets a percentage of the revenue she brings in, blame her agent.
