Speaking on "Meet the Press", Pete Buttigieg told host Kristen Welker that “of course” America was and is ready for a gay president. In fact, he would never have run had he not believed such a claim.

The problem with this is that being gay is an objectively insignificant "accomplishment." I am not saying being gay makes someone inherently unimpressive, but I am saying it has nothing to do with anything, especially when it comes to being the leader of the Free World.

And LOL to Kamala claiming Buttigieg was her number one VP pick. It is unclear who could have been worse, Buttigieg or Walz, but to claim we were so close to destroying the country, despite who her VP could have been, would be an understatement.

Additionally, this is extremely inappropriate. America should elect its next president based on accomplishments, competence, and their fight to ensure this country is left better off. Incorporating insignificant things, such as one’s dating preferences, proves how little people like Buttigieg think of the American people.

“I wouldn't have run for president in the first place if I didn't believe that,” he told Meet The Press host Kristen Welker in an interview aired Sunday.

When Kamala Harris in 2024 ultimately took over as the Democratic nominee, she considered Buttigieg as a running mate. But she wrote in her memoir, 107 Days, that while the Indiana Democrat was her first choice, the idea of a ticket with a Black woman and a gay man seemed “too big of a risk.” Welker asked Buttigieg specifically about that passage during the Meet the Press Interview.

These people are so fake. They offer nothing of substance to the American people and will create disingenuous campaigns solely to win votes. Again, to claim these people disrespect the American people would be an understatement.
