The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and the left can't even. There are meltdowns. Liberal men are assaulting pro-life women. Some dude tried to set a cop on fire. It's insanity. But on the lighter side of the news, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has renounced his American citizenship. Or is renouncing. Or is planning to announce. It's confusing.

Armstrong made the announcement on stage at a London concert. Unclear if he thinks by saying "I renounce" actually renounces his citizenship, like Michael Scott yelling aloud, "I declare bankruptcy." But I feel like we've been here before with Armstrong. Not renouncing his citizenship--which... whatever dude--but him being angry when he realizes people have different opinions than him.

Armstrong wrote an entire album, American Idiot, over how much he didn't like George W. Bush. I'll be nice. It actually was a decent collection of songs. Every other protest song from that era sucked. It was a chorus, a verse, and "no blood for oil" rushed out of the studio and uploaded on MySpace. You are more likely to remember your MySpace Top 8 than you are any anti-Bush song from that time.

Billie Joe also hated Donald Trump. It is unclear if he's one of the many, many, many celebrities who said he would move if Trump was elected and then didn't move when Trump was elected. A lot of them said the same when George Bush was re-elected. SPOILER: None of them moved.

But now, Armstrong is the celebrity threatening to move because of the Supreme Court ruling that his home state of California will continue allowing birthing people and menstruators to abort their child up to just before the baby comes out. For now. Give California Democrats a year or two, and they'll have abortion legal up until the seventh trimester. If Armstrong sticks around, maybe he can write a catchy jingle for California's all-inclusive abortion vacations that are coming.

Or he can move to England and say he isn't an American anymore. Either way, meh.
