Ben Sasse Schools White Supremacist Richard Spencer Over Intrinsic Worth
Richard Spencer is, straight up, an asshole. I'm not even going to replace letters so as not to offend the sensibilities of virtual pearl-clutchers. Ben Sasse, by contrast, is a conservative who loves America and what American values actually mean. So when Richard Spencer, an unapologetic white supremacist, pecked out this tweet, Ben Sasse came to play.
In the minds of goober conservatives, the Russians are to blame for racial divisions. https://t.co/CzpGfL6u4M— Richard 🦁 Spencer (@Richard 🦁 Spencer)1506601645.0

Ben Sasse grabbed Thor's hammer and chucked it at Richard Spencer's smug little Nazi face.
He's right, by the way. America wasn't founded on tribalism. It wasn't founded on groups, or what one person thought another person was worth (to the errant leftist crying about "slavery" I'd like to remind you we ended slavery, in fact we fought a war to end it, and the side which wanted to end slavery won. Please spare me your virtue signaling and go read up on your abortion talking points). America was founded on the idea that a person (singular) has inalienable rights granted to him by His Creator. That among them is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
See, that's what the left and the Alt-Right get wrong. They believe in the power of their tribes. The left has divided and subdivided themselves into so many tribes, they're warring with themselves. Read Blogger Says 'Straight Black Men Are the White People of Black People' as an example. The left believes they're valuable based on which victim group (or groups) they belong. All hail the transgender Muslim. Human garbage like Spencer thinks he's all powerful and wonderful based on being a white nationalist creep.
Both sides are wrong.
America was founded on the value of the individual. The smallest minority, if you want to get technical about it...
