Arizona Governor Pulls Nike Tax Break Over Recalling America Flag Sneakers
Nike pulled their patriotic, Betsy Ross themed American flag sneakers. No, not because there weren't enough patriotic Americans to buy them. But because Colin Kaepernick complained. So Nike no longer has a flag-themed sneaker. Who knew a quarterback who rode the bench while wearing stupid socks had so much power over a company who wants to sell gear to the athletically-inclined. Anyway, after this issue, Nike also no longer has a tax break to expand in Arizona thanks to Tuesday morning's announcement by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey.
This is a pretty bold move.

It is a shameful retreat for the company. American businesses should be proud of our country’s history, not abandoning it. 6/— Doug Ducey (@Doug Ducey) 1562058262.0
Arizona’s economy is doing just fine without Nike. We don’t need to suck up to companies that consciously denigrate our nation’s history. 8/— Doug Ducey (@Doug Ducey) 1562058329.0
And finally, it shouldn’t take a controversy over a shoe for our kids to know who Betsy Ross is. A founding mother.… https://t.co/3gii0GgXX5— Doug Ducey (@Doug Ducey) 1562058368.0
Honestly, moves like this are what more on the right need to do. As long as leftists get away promoting outrage and cancel-culture, or can get things boycotted because a few idiots on Twitter have the same opinion, conservatives need to do a better job pushing back. Yes, a professional back-up quarterback has more influence than an astroturfed Twitter mob. Hence the Governor's action.
Now Nike is being forced in a position where they have to choose sides. That only happens when our side speaks up and speaks out.
What do you think of this move? Bold or uncalled for?
