LA mayor spends $250K taxpayer dollars on anti-ICE signs...that have no legal standing and are useless

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass spent $250,000 of taxpayer money putting up 450 signs around LA declaring parks and other city property off limits to ICE.

The City of Los Angeles has got a lot of problems, but a shortage of anti-ICE signs is not one.
The city installed over 450 signs declaring public property off-limits for ICE enforcement operations at $500 per sign. The problem with this is that while it might make leftists feel better, it holds zero legal weight. Thus, this is just another way for officials to waste tax dollars while they pretend to fight for voters -- when in reality, they have proven time and again how much they despise you, the American people.
According to Fox 11:
More than 450 signs have been installed at parks, libraries, parking lots and transit hubs, including MacArthur Park, Lafayette Park and the Los Angeles Zoo. The signs state that city property is not to be used for immigration enforcement activities, including as staging areas, processing sites or operational bases.
"I will not stand by while federal agents use our neighborhoods as staging grounds for fear and intimidation," Bass said in a statement to FOX 11. "In Los Angeles, we are setting clear boundaries: city property will not be used to carry out these raids."
When she claims neighborhoods are being used “as staging grounds for fear and intimidation,” what she really means is that someone is finally coming and enforcing the law. For far too long, people like Bass have not only turned a blind eye to our immigration system, but they have done so at the expense of public safety. Worse of all, though, is that they do everything to shield criminal aliens from accountability, while they trash any concept of public safety.
"I just think this whole thing is silly. The signs have no legal weight, force or effect on anything the federal government does," said Bill Essayli. "Federal agents will go anywhere they need to go to enforce federal law, including city property."
When asked directly whether the signs would stop federal immigration enforcement, Essayli responded, "No. Not at all. They’re null and void. They mean nothing to us."
All these people do is waste money while they pretend to work for the people. Not only is it embarrassing -- considering they pretend they have more power than the law has afforded them -- but it is a disgrace to public safety everywhere. This will never put the left on the right side of history.
Some humans are illegal. Someone should really inform Bass of that concept before she goes around applauding her little signs, because at the end of the day, she offers nothing for the people she was elected to represent, while promoting pathetic efforts for foreign nationals. And to call this the perfect representation of leftist compassion would be an understatement.
