'Anti-Harassment' Democrat Aide Accused of Sexually Harassing Women. But It Gets Worse...
These past few months, the grabby-handed meat wall that calls itself Hollywood has been crumbling. We've also gotten a peek into just how much complicitness and hypocrisy connects both Hollywood and the organized left. So it's no shocker that sexual harassment is a thing among Democrats. Thanks, Billary (see Juanita Broaddrick Exclusive Interview: “Bill Clinton Raped Me…” and Uh Oh! Amber Tamblyn Admits 'If Hillary Won, Harvey Weinstein Would Still Be In Power')!
But it's still disturbing to see how much leftism and sexual abuse are entwined. Speaking of which, enter Brenda Lawrence. Anti-harassment extraordinaire. She's on a mission to out pervy creeps in office.
In late October, congresswoman [Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D.Mich.)] introduced the Congressional Sexual Harassment Training Act, which would "require every congressional office to enroll employees in training to prevent sexual harassment."
Buuut it looks like the anti-harassment training didn't extend to her own staff. Woopsie!
A Politico report early Tuesday revealed that Rep. Brenda Lawrence employs a chief of staff who has been the subject of numerous complaints by women in the office.
Three of the lawmaker's now former aides told the pub that Chief of Staff Dwayne Duron Marshall behaved differently around the female employees than he did the male staff. They said he made "inappropriate comments" and "physical contact" that made them uncomfortable.
Behaviors ranged from comments on female employees' appearances, remarks on a female staffer's legs to unwanted back and shoulder rubs.
Now here's the part where it gets even worse. You'd think a pro-woman, anti-harassment congress lady would want to immediately put an end to all this, right?
The employees who complained called the congresswoman "complicit" in the negative workplace atmosphere.
The congresswoman was vague on what action she took - if any - to address the situation in her own office. She said no sexual harassment had transpired.
A former aide ... reacted to Lawrence's denial: "She's completely full of shit."
So this lady helped end the harassment by doing diddly squat. Surprise! Apparently her silent complicity went on for YEARS. But now that all these people are making a fuss, Rep. Lawrence finally found her courage and suspended the harasser in question. Convenient timing for her.
Such hypocrisy. Of course, we don't expect much else from the left at this point.
