The person who wins the Democrat primary in New York City is effectively the mayor, what with the NY GOP being useless. So, because 50.1% of less than 30% (which is still considered a high primary turnout) of 60% of NYC, The Zohran was given what's considered the second most important job in America, behind the president. He's now using it as a threat to seize private property.
Odd, because when people called him a communist, the media reported it wasn't true and that he was ackshually a "democratic socialist." When asked what the difference was, it's that "communist" is a mean, trigger word.
Through our new citywide campaign Fix the City, we will focus on the worst landlords in New York City. When necessary, we will take aggressive legal action to remove negligent owners and property managers. And for buildings that have suffered chronic neglect, we will work to transfer ownership to responsible stewards. Stewards that include community land trusts, non-profits, or even the tenants themselves.
This is where an "independent" "fact" checker will claim fake news. Because the Zohran didn't say he was going to "seize property." He only said he was going to "take aggressive legal action to remove owners" and "transfer ownership."

Again, this should come as no surprise considering his housing czar Cea Weaver has said these now deleted words that she claimed she didn't mean once it was exposed that she said them:
- 2018: “Seize private property!”
- 2019: “Private property including any kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy."
- 2017: "Elect more communists."
Or my personal favorite: say that they need to make NYC housing worthless so the government can take control of the land... while on a podcast with The Zohran.

Long Island and the Hudson Valley need to build a wall and make Queens and the Boogie Down pay for it. All while Ron DeSantis institutes a 50% migration tax on any Democrat from NYC who attempts to buy property in Miami.
I'd like to think the NYC GOP (aka the heads of the five families) is taking the recruitment of The Zohran's opponent seriously, scouring the city for "their Spencer Pratt," and setting him up with the tools needed for victory. Considering the last GOP nominee was the only guy who wanted the job, and then they called on him to drop out so that ANDREW F'N CUOMO could win, I have my serious doubts.
