All the focus has been on the Los Angeles Mayoral Primary. Spencer Pratt is fun, the videos were awesome, and these clicks don't bait themselves. However, other primaries took place across the United States of the Americas on Tuesday. One of which was the Iowa Gubernatorial race, where 40-year-old Zach Lahn won the Republican nomination.
Admittedly, all I know about Iowa politics I learn from following Steve Deace on X-Twitter. He and Turning Point USA, who endorsed him, think Lahn was the stronger of the GOP candidates. The "experts" feel he was the weakest and the easiest opponent for Democrat Rob Sand. All I know about Sand is that I've seen people compare him to James Talafreako, and they look alike. So take it with that what you will.
The main reason I've gathered you here is to share this great clip I saw trending yesterday. Lahn, as a college student, telling President Obama to his face how terrible ObamaCare is and will be...as narrated by Rush Limbaugh covering the clip on his show.
This is the political equivalent of wrestling for the WWE title in 2026, where they show you in the audience of WrestleMania 25 cheering on the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

The other thing is this clip with Lahn from The Charlie Kirk show on Tuesday. They view the GOP's winning issues as affordability, first-home buyers, MAHA (Make America Healthy Again), and overall quality of life. Surprisingly, they don't view ballrooms and reflecting pools as winning issues that voters will care about. Go figure.
The MAHA part caught my attention because Lahn brought up a health issue I don't hear candidates talk about enough. Cancer rates.
Listen to @TPAction endorsed Iowa Governor candidate Zach Lahn talk about the issues and understand why he won a tough race last night:
- Affordability
- Next generation home buyers
- MAHA 🤝 MAGA
- Quality of life
This is the winning formula. pic.twitter.com/nRgPNQVMNM

Midterms are either a blue wave or too close to call depending on what poll you read when. And I'll let people on the ground in Iowa tell me what it's like on the ground there. Speaking as someone from outside the state, Zach Lahn at least looks like a future leader we should keep an eye on.
