Media Asks if GOP Tax Cuts Help 3 American Families. The Results Surprise Them…
Maybe it's the stress of the holiday season... But the left has really gone "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" with the GOP tax cuts. Lots of scalding hot takes and other made up facts (see Chris Matthews Compares Republican Tax Cut Celebration to 'North Korean Parade' and Uh Oh! Rachel Maddow Caught BLATANTLY Misleading Viewers on Tax Cuts). But the true important point at the heart of the matter is: are families going to be helped?
CBS This Morning sent an accountant to three different families to find out.
Most Americans will get a tax cut next year under the plan Congress passed this week, but figuring out exactly how much your family will save is tricky. Republicans say a typical family of four earning $73,000 per year will see taxes drop by more than $2,000, but circumstances can vary widely depending on factors like income and where you live. We asked an accountant to crunch the numbers for three working families to see how much they could be saving.
He did their taxes to see how the families fared under the new plan. What he found out may shock you.
That is, if you're CBS This Morning. Not to those of us who knew facts. Or understood that 80% of Americans were getting beautiful tax cuts.
Lookie here! Three different tax returns. Three tax cuts. Americans are going to get some serious money back.
And all Democrats voted against it. So much for caring.
