This is a story that needs to be kept on your radar, because the media will do their best to bury it while claiming political violence is a "both-sides" issue. A California man shot at people protesting outside of an ABC News Studio over Jimmy Kimmel being temporarily taken off the air. Sounds MAGA, right? Except the guy is a former teachers' union official who has a slew of anti-Trump posts and who celebrated when Charlie Kirk was assassinated.

There's actually been a lot of political violence recently where we "may never know their motivation," like the guy shooting up a catering hall while yelling "Free Palestine." To quote one of the OGs, Mary Katherine Ham, "This is by my count six arrestable offenses since Charlie’s murder, and they’re all left-motivated violence and damage. Crazy guy protecting the shooter, assault on Kirk mourners (TX), vandalism on Kirk vigil (AZ), attempted bombing of a Fox truck, shooting at ABC affiliate."

Anibal Hernandez-Santana was arrested on "charges of assault with a deadly weapon, negligent discharge of a firearm, and shooting into an occupied building." California police RELEASED HIM ON BAIL (a retiree posted $200K bail) and refused to show his mugshot.

He has since been rearrested because the FBI swooped in and said, "LOL, no."

So who is Hernandez-Santana? He is a retiree who previously served as a legislative director for the California Teachers' Union. He also has an active social media presence.

An X account matching that profile contains a steady stream of anti-Trump commentary.

“The authoritarian oligarchy is now complete,” the account posted in July. “CBS+ caving, big law firms in DC, the subservients FBI and AG, university presidents stepping down, fan boys SCOTUS, public radio, ICE goons. We are going to have to ‘fight like hell’. Rules don’t apply if election was stolen. FIGHT!”

On Thursday, the account posted: “Where is a good heart attack when we need it the most?? Please Join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.”

I'm still wondering what his motivation may be...

We may never know.

You would think someone shooting at a protest outside of a news studio would be an attack on our freedom of speech. And it would be, had the shooter have been wearing a MAGA cap. When the "alleged" shooter is a loyal Democrat donor who shares the same political opinions as everyone on CNN except for Scott Jennings and Shermichael Singleton, he is free to go as long as he promises never to do it again.

Because, say it with me now, "we don't know what motivated him" and "political violence is a both sides issue."
