Energy Company Wants To Hike Your Rates Again, Claims It’s For “Climate Change”
Everyone on the left seems to be blaming the weather for everything. Oh, you broke your leg? Well, you should have done more to stop climate change. You have a cold" That is because of climate change. You are worried about Inflation? Should have done your rain dances.
Now, I know, you know, your grandma knows, and everyone with half a brain knows, that the government cannot control the direction of the wind. But, if you are one of the people in the climate death cult, then you don’t know that.
PG&E is not only one of the very ignorant entities who think the government can turn hail into rain by taxing you more. But their ignorance goes beyond all that. Their ignorance has turned into arrogance. Because they want to increase rates and the excuse they are using is………. yepers, you guessed it…. climate change. *Gasp*
“Both 2023's and 2024's increases will be large. But PG&E says, this about the long run to harden the system against climate change: ‘We are working to keep customer costs at or below assumed inflation for the long-term, between an average of 2 and 4% a year.’
Consumer group, The Utility Reform Network is hotly opposed. ‘It's gonna be between $12 and $20 additional each month. That's on top of the $33 that's coming January 1,’ said The Utility Reform Network’s Executive Director Mark Toney.
Here's the kicker. ‘They want them to start collecting in March, even before the CPUC [California Public Utilities Commission] has held a proceeding and decided whether PG&E should get paid back by ratepayers; two billion dollars for overspending,’ said Toney. One more kicker. ‘Oh, PG&E has several requests for at least another $3 billion, said Toney."
I guess if people are stupid enough to believe that the government can control how hard the wind blows, they are probably dumb enough to believe that charging more for energy will help stop “Climate Change.”
I have a very real question for the climate prophets. What would be considered the perfect temperature? And will that vary from place to place? Maybe it is 75 degrees? Who knows. I don’t even think they know. And by “they” I don’t mean Joe who thinks he can be Jen. I mean all the fear cultists trying to get you to fork over more funds so they can laugh at you as they pretend they will be able to control how much snow the Midwest will get.
The thing is, I probably would not have had much to say if PG&E just raised rates and said it was because they are also suffering from inflation. Which is probably what I would have assumed that was why they were doing this. But because they went and blamed this on you. Because they implied it is your fault the weather is “changing.” And because they implied they can control the wind by charging you more money. Well, Houston, we now have that problem.
Tip for PG&E: Next time you want to raise prices, don’t pretend that will help you control the amount of hurricanes in Florida.
