Update: ...aaaaand she's been arrested even as a licensed carryholder. Now there's the NYC I know.

As if "NYC councilwoman" and "Republican" aren't a big enough contradiction, Inna Vernikov is also a licensed concealed carry holder. Yes, in New York City. And the Jewish councilwoman was packing at a pro-Hamas rally in Brooklyn. I'm guessing it was a means for self-defense because... know what I mean?

The anti-Israel rally was at Brooklyn College. The councilwoman opposed the rally, but still worked with the City University of New York to move it from the Brooklyn College campus onto a public street so that it would be under the purview of the NYPD. "We WILL NOT ALLOW Jewish students to be or feel unsafe."

You may find yourself wondering why Jewish students would feel unsafe in Brooklyn. And at a college campus of all places. That's because unlike when Riley Gaines speaks at colleges on why it's unfair to let boys play girls' sports, or any conservative speaks on a college campus anywhere, some Jewish students have a legit reason to feel unsafe due to recent world events.

The pro-Hamas protestors were super angry at Councilwoman Vernikov's presence. She didn't come alone.

I'll be honest. I was confused about her ability to carry as well since New York City anti-gun rules are a) robust, and b) the people who pass them straight up say "f*ck your constitution." City & State reports that the councilwoman has a state concealed carry permit for her handgun, and while NYC still puts restrictions on it, the laws are so cacamamie that no one is sure if she broke any of them. That last part is my words. The journalismers at City & State support the cacamamie laws.

I have no idea what these two fellas are talking about. That said, FELLAAAAAAAAS!

Inna Vernikov was a Democrat up until 2020. She switched parties because of what radical leftist extremists the Democrat Party has turned into. If you think DC Democrats are bad, NYC Democrats are ten times radicalier and leftistier. We don't have many officials in NYC who are GOP. Or who are even slightly to the right of Karl Marx. I'm happy Councilwoman Vernikov is on our side.
