LA neighborhood removes common "No U-Turn" signs because, apparently, they were anti-gay or something

Restricting u-turns is now homophobic, and at this point, it would probably be a lot easier if the powers that be provided a list of all the things that are not anti-gay.
Silver Lake, a neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles known for its high hipster population, has officially taken down the last two “No U-turn” signs because they were supposedly put in place to prevent gay men from “cruising” and picking up other gay men.
“No U-Turn” Signs were installed with “No Cruising” signs in Silver Lake in 1997 to target and persecute the LGBTQ+ community.

According to the Los Angeles Daily News:
Getting rid of the signs was long overdue for many, including Donovan Daughtry, a gay man who five years ago moved to Silver Lake, known as being LGBTQ-friendly.
Two years ago, Daughtry reached out to L.A. City Councilmember Nithya Raman’s office about the signs after learning about them from a podcast hosted by Chris Cruse, founder of queermaps.org, an online archive of 150 years of queer history in L.A. On Monday, moments after he helped take down the last sign, Daughtry said, “This is a small effort, but just to have a sign that I would have to walk past with my dog every day be taken down meant a lot.”
Oh, geez. Cry me a river, Karen. This is how you know these people are privileged. They can literally go and complain that they don't like a sign and city officials will get rid of them just so they don't have to look at them. You really can't get more spoiled than that, and they will still turn around and pretend they are victimized.
To say this is a first-world issue would be an understatement, as they don't even have any issues, they are just making things up because they are incredibly bored.
There are at least 10 headlines a day about the left crying because of their fear of inanimate objects and this is just another one of those stories.
I am just going to take a wild guess but I am pretty sure those signs were meant to prevent public sex, maybe even prostitution, which would have also been illegal for both straight and gay couples, but I digress.
In 1997, “No U-turn” and “No Cruising” signs went up around Silver Lake to stop members of the LGBTQ+ community from cruising in the area. Citing a 2011 article by The Eastsider, Hugo-Martínez’s office said “cruising” in that context was a euphemism for “searching for sex partners.”
In 2011, the city removed the “No Cruising” signs in response to local activism and advocacy from the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council. But nine “No U-turn” signs remained up along Griffith Park Boulevard until Monday when the last signs were taken down.
So can the people now “cruise” or what?
According to a 2011 article by Advocate, “The signs have been up since 1997, but residents of the gentrifying neighborhood have pushed to take the signs down as fewer incidents of public sex are being reported (possibly because websites like Craigslist and iPhone apps like Grindr have created more options for anonymous encounters).”
I am having trouble seeing the homophobia in that but whatever, these are very unserious people who think the phrase “No U-turn” is a personal, anti-gay hate crime and no one should be surprised by their insanity.
There is some debate among woke leftists regarding what identity group these signs actually targeted, as some claim the anti-cruising signage had to do with "lowriders."

The point is, these people are the farthest thing from a victim, and the more they push their luck playing this fake, victim card, the more they will push people away.
But all that said, the most important question remains: Can you make a U-turn on Griffith Park Boulevard or not?
