Muslim Charity Run promises an "inclusive atmosphere" while banning all women and girls older than twelve

The Muslim Charity Run, which took place in London, describes itself as having an “inclusive atmosphere [that] ensures every individual, from the youngest to the oldest, can take part and make a difference.” This includes “men, boys of all ages, and girls under 12.” So, in other words, “inclusive” seems to mean that half the population is excluded. Funny how that works out.

A charity run organized by the East London Mosque Trust has barred participation for women and girls aged 13 and older. It’s unclear what the reasoning is behind this, but you can draw your own conclusions. Nonetheless, here in the U.S., this would very likely be illegal, as it discriminates based on gender for no apparent reason—so, again, draw whatever conclusion you wish.
According to the BBC:
The Muslim Charity Run, which was held in Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets on Sunday, said on its website: "Our inclusive atmosphere ensures that every individual, from the youngest to the oldest, can take part and make a difference."
It added: "This is open to men, boys of all ages and girls under 12, but everyone is welcome at the park to cheer on the runners."
It faced criticism on social media, where people questioned why women were not allowed to take part in the race, given the focus on inclusivity.
Call me crazy, but the least these people could do is actually include people if they claim that’s their goal. Yet in this so-called pursuit of inclusivity, they’ve excluded a significant portion—close to half of the population.
This is unsurprising to anyone paying attention.
You see, when the left claims to be inclusive, they often do so at the expense of the majority. According to this ideology, the “sin” of exclusion is justified if you claim to be doing the opposite. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
On the very homepage of the organization's website, it states the following:
At the heart of the event is our flagship 5K charity run, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds to raise funds for great causes. But the day offers so much more. With family-friendly activities, a buzzing community atmosphere, and a focus on well-being and togetherness, this is an event where everyone belongs.
So, if everyone belongs, why doesn’t everyone belong? You can do the math. But why do I get the feeling that if a Christian charity run did the same thing, it wouldn’t go over so well with London authorities? I don’t know—maybe that’s just a hunch.
