A professor at Bemidji State had his students reenact the 1945 Iwo Jima flag-raising to protest ICE deportation efforts, and it’s more pathetic than you think.

In support of the “ICE Out of MN” protests, Anton Treuer had his students recreate the WWII scene by planting the Minnesota flag in the snow, which, ironically, now mirrors the Samoli flag.

What’s pathetic about this is not that these people are outright delusional, although that's part of it; it's that they think their actions are even remotely comparable to the bravery of WWII soldiers. However, it's even more deranged than that, though, because they believe they are on the side that's fighting Nazis, when anyone with a brain knows that all they are doing is defending the fight of agitators to interfere with lawful federal enforcement mandates. That's not bravery, it's not even close.

LOL. These things are not the same.

These people truly live in their immigration. Does the left even know reality is a thing?

Treuer identifies as a “Racial equity educator and Indigenous language warrior.” It's not quite clear what a language warrior means, but someone should really inform him that the Fascists also tried to redefine words. And more often than not, when people try to redefine language, it often leads to tyrannical ends. Not saying that's what he wants the result to be, but if the shoe fits, it fits.

That being said, it truly is deranged that the left believes they are fighting some massive fight against tyranny when, in fact, the policies they support create it. Fortunately, though, while they have the media on their side, it's far from the opinion of the majority. These liberals can plant as many flags in the snow as they wish, but they will never make a difference. And to call that pathetic would be an understatement.
