That rainbow flag is extremely telling in this story.

While it’s possible to have a mix of feelings and viewpoints when it comes to deportation efforts, can we please leave the Nativity story out of this? Because in a disgusting pursuit to prove a point to the Trump administration, a woke pastor has decided to mock the birth of Jesus by putting zip ties on baby Jesus and showing ICE agents gassing Mother Mary.

You know how many people bought into his cause because of this? Zero. That is how many. No more, no less.

According to the New York Post:

An Illinois church is facing criticism for displaying a Nativity scene that depicts baby Jesus with his hands zip-tied and guarded by figures styled as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Lake Street Church of Evanston is displaying the scene outside on its grounds.

Baby Jesus is wrapped in a thin blanket resembling aluminum foil, which the church said is a reference to the emergency blankets used in detention facilities.

The birth story has nothing to do with any of this. Nothing. And they can prove whatever point they wish without mocking the Nativity story. This is truly deranged, and I don’t think Jesus would appreciate it.

It also shows Mother Mary wearing a respirator mask “to protect herself from tear gas,” according to the church.Joseph is also masked.

In a Facebook post last week, the church said the installation reimagines the Nativity as a scene of forced family separation, drawing parallels between the Holy Family’s refugee flight and modern immigration detention practices.

What do they want to convince people of with this? That Jesus would be all in for open borders? Because he wouldn’t. We know God established national borders. We know that we can show compassion to all people without destroying our country. We know that the left only wants chaos. We know that God wants no harm. So, we all know this—why does this pastor try so hard to prove otherwise?

He also realizes that Mary and Jesus were not illegal immigrants, right?! My goodness. There truly is no low lower than this.

According to Genesis 11:6-7 ESV, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.”

God intended for nations to be separate. And the sooner this pastor realizes that, the better he will be able to lead people into the truth. Until then, "beware of sheep in wolf’s clothing."
