Democrat rep says quiet part out loud, BRAGS about her goal of sending your tax dollars back to Somalia

UHH—Dem. Maine Rep. Deqa Dhalac says her GOAL in American government is for the taxpayers of America to give $ to Somalia.
"How can you help us be a better country? Hopefully we will be able to help our country—uh...our former country, Somalia." 🤡pic.twitter.com/X6e9mULqsY

Since when did elected officials get it in their little heads that they can prioritize their time for other countries and not the one they took an oath to defend? Because last time I checked, it was the job of Maine Rep. Deqa Dhalac to protect the freedoms of Americans — not send their tax dollars to a foreign nation. But yet, by her own admission, she is all in to help out her “former country, Somalia.”
You know, someone should really give her the memo that the president of her former country has publicly claimed Somalia is now a prosperous nation.

And if that were true, why would they need any assistance from us or anywhere else? Why would Dhalac be fighting so hard for Somalis when she should be doing everything in her power to make the residents of Maine better off? That remains unclear, but you can form your own conclusion.
According to WMTW:
Rep. Mana Abdi (D-Lewiston), Rep. Deqa Dhalac (D-South Portland) and Rep. Yusuf Yusuf (D-Portland) are the first Somali Americans to serve in the Maine House of Representatives. By law, to serve in the state legislature, you must be a U.S. citizen.
They wrote an open letter Thursday reacting to what they called "hateful remarks" from the president.
“As elected officials entrusted to serve the people of Maine, we have a responsibility to speak clearly and without hesitation. Our communities deserve leaders who will call out dangerous rhetoric, defend democratic principles, and refuse to let fear or dehumanization dictate public policy,” the lawmakers wrote. “An attack on Somali
Americans, on TPS holders, or on any immigrant community is an attack on all Americans. Maine is stronger when we stand together, reject dehumanization, and insist on a future rooted in safety, fairness, and shared belonging.”
This is not true. Americans are Americans, not illegal immigrants, TPS holders, or Somali nationals. So any attacks on these people are just that—nothing more, nothing less. And while she can lie and claim this makes you worse off, that could not be further from the truth.
Maybe, just maybe, the left will fight for you like they do for their “former country,” but don’t hold your breath, as people like Dhalac have proven time and again who they are all in for — and again, it’s not you.
