Somali Mayor tells other residents not to worry because HER police won't be enforcing any US immigration laws

The Mayor of St. Louis Park, Nadia Mohamed, has just announced to residents that they don’t need to worry if they have broken federal immigration laws because the local police department has “never” enforced such laws.
Now, call me crazy, but I think this used to be called “obstruction of justice.” Unclear about that, as I am no legal expert. But you do the math. Nonetheless, she does realize her job is to represent the Americans living in the city and not foreign nationals, right?
According to the Washington Post:
Nadia Mohamed, the Somali American mayor of St. Louis Park, a suburb of Minneapolis where Trump has targeted immigrant communities in recent weeks, said Democrats representing Minnesota have been vocal in defending Somalis against Trump’s attacks. She has been encouraged to see more Democrats condemning Trump’s remarks but would like to see the party as a whole be more outspoken.
“They need to be more vocal in the uptake of Islamophobia and xenophobia and discriminatory practices toward our most vulnerable communities,” Mohamed said. “Especially when it’s those communities that turn out in numbers for Democrats.”
How much more outspoken can the left get when it comes to condemning Trump? It would feel as if they have exhausted all efforts by now. Or maybe, just maybe, many leftist politicians realize that this is a losing campaign strategy, and campaigning in favor of foreign nationals at the expense of Americans is not how you win elections. Also, maybe, just maybe, some on the left realize that one of the main reasons Trump was elected was to end mass illegal immigration. Or maybe not—one can only dream. Nonetheless, what more can be said? We get it, they hate Trump. But we also get that these people hate Americans, as proven by the fact that they do everything in their power to help those who have broken our laws.
Some humans are illegal. Will the left ever admit that? Likely not, which is why this story exists. And it’s reprehensible, at best.
