I don't know what it is about women’s soccer, but the players seem to be some of the most obnoxious people out there. It appears Lindsey Horan has officially decided to step into the spotlight and take over for Megan Rapinoe, who not too long ago held the spot as the most unpleasant player.

The final match of the 2022 men's World Cup had more than 1.5 billion viewers worldwide. The final match of the women's World Cup had about 260 million views worldwide. But you didn’t need those numbers to know that no one cares about women’s soccer. However, you would think if you want to increase viewership among one of the world's most hated teams, the last thing you would do is insult the five people who watch your games.

But similar to Rapinoe, Horan has decided to not only become the world's most annoying sports star but has also wanted to make it ridiculously easy to hate her.

Horan called most of her fans stupid in an interview with The Athletic.

"American soccer fans, most of them aren’t smart," Horan said, according to Outkick. "They don’t know the game. They don’t understand. (But) it’s getting better and better."

"I’m gonna piss off some people," Horan said.

It’s not like it’s that hard for her to piss people off. I am sure she does that just by walking into the room.

"But the game is growing in the U.S. People are more and more knowledgeable, but so much of the time people take what the commentators say, right? My mom does it!" She breaks into laughter. "My mom says, ‘Julie Foudy said you had such a good game!’ And I’m here, just going, ‘I was fu-king sh-t today.’"

Okay?... Is that her example to justify calling women soccer fans stupid? Using your mom as an example is pretty dumb because if she is watching the game, it’s to see her kid. Not because she enjoys the sport.

But now that I think about it, what percentage of views do you think come from the players' friends and family? Like at least 90 percent, right? That would also serve what she is saying is true since then no one would be watching for the love of women's soccer, but solely to support a friend or family member.

According to Outkick:

“Horan was one of the many players on the Women's World Cup squad to take offense to comments made by former USWNT captain Carli Lloyd during the tournament.

Lloyd rightfully criticized the USWNT's celebratory behavior after an embarrassing draw with Portugal to sneak into the knockout stage. She later addressed the sense of entitlement among players on the team and was crucified by people incapable of hearing the truth or constructive criticism.

Horan took exception to Lloyd's accurate criticisms and couldn't look dumber doing it. She initially claimed that Lloyd had "no idea" what the team was going through or what the day-to-day looked like. Lloyd played in over 300 games for the USWNT and led the team to two World Cup victories.”

I don’t know what it is about women soccer players, but they are so incredibly narcissistic and arrogant. Not only are her statements incredibly naive, but it takes zero intelligence to understand soccer.

Ironically, these athletes will say comments like this and go cry when no one watches their game.

What does she want people to even do with that information? Apologize that they know less than her in a sport she has dedicated her whole life to?

My goodness. These people are so incredibly self-righteous.

I think we all know who the dumb one is. And it’s not the “fans”.
