Oftentimes, leftists will get mad and throw tantrums when you ask questions they don’t like — and more often than not, those questions are unanswerable to them because there’s some truth behind them. This is why Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson resorted to insults and danced around the question when a reporter asked him why he isn’t doing anything about the teen violence fueling the city.

According to the Post Millennial:

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson lashed out at a reporter on Tuesday, calling him "disgusting and racist" for asking a question about teen violence terrorizing the Windy City. The altercation occurred during a press briefing when independent reporter William J. Kelly challenged Mayor Johnson, a Democrat, on his public safety priorities.

Kelly asked the following question: "Why is it that you think a Christmas market across the street from City Hall is more of a threat to public safety than violent black teenagers running down State Street, shooting people at a Christmas tree lighting? Shows your priorities. What do you say to those [concerned citizens]?"

Johnson replied, "That they should avoid you. I'm not going to entertain [it] because the whole premise of everything that you bring up is not only disgusting and racist, there's no fact to it."

Someone should really inform the left about what the word “racism” means, because this is certainly not it. Nonetheless, why can he not answer the question about the crucial need for public safety? Why do Chicago leftists refuse to admit there is a crime problem in the city, especially among the youth—so much so that they would rather slander anyone who questions these concerns than do anything about it?

Clearly, people like Johnson despise law-abiding citizens, and time and again, the left refuses to even acknowledge the problem.

It’s not racist to want to hold officials accountable for their lack of concern, and if anything, the real racism is coming from those who refuse to do anything about this.

He does realize that the victims in these crimes are often Black, right? Doesn’t he care about those people? If he doesn’t, which it appears he doesn’t, we can only assume he’s more racist than he could have ever imagined.

The reporter's question was in reference to a November 21 shooting that occurred shortly after Mayor Johnson's Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Millennium Park. A 14-year-old boy was fatally shot, and eight other teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 were wounded when a gathering of hundreds of youths escalated into riots and two separate shootings along State Street.

This is not normal, certainly not something that should be happening in America. This is a very serious issue, and a teen boy is now gone because officials refuse to even acknowledge the problem. Not only is it pathetic that he won’t even acknowledge that, but it’s grossly negligent. And this attitude will only cause more incidents like this to happen.

It’s also worth mentioning how pathetic it was that he pretended he created or controls a corporation because he’s the mayor. Everyone knows he is not managing people, as there’s a reason a city manager position exists. But he didn’t create anything, and it’s extremely arrogant and delusional for him to think he’s done something significant and beneficial for the community there.

Why leftists refuse to admit crime exists is beyond reason, but we can sadly conclude that the more they keep this up, the more young victims we will have. Tragic, yet totally preventable.
