White House handlers let Joe Biden out in public for an interview with Democrat activist Seth Meyers for his political podcast "Late Night with Seth Meyers." It was supposed to be a major appearance to help sell the elderly Biden to an unsure electorate. Turns out, that electorate was watching something else. The ratings for the interview have been released.

Here's a clip for those with something better to do than watch Seth Meyers.

In fairness to Biden, Meyers' ratings are down overall. But this is still embarrassing.

The Monday night interview with the president brought in some 852,000 average total viewers and 181,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research. The demo viewership marked a 32 percent drop compared to the same day last year, which tracks with the show’s already declining demo viewership for the year – down some 10 percent year to date.

More embarrassing is the low ratings for something that was clearly designed to be a PR moment. Meyers threw nothing but softballs, that Biden still whiffed on. They brought up Taylor Swift and did that lame thing where Biden puts on sunglasses. There was even an ice cream social beforehand.

Journalismer John Harwood, who knows a thing or two about giving Biden a tongue bath, dropped X praising the event as "Biden's not hiding he's doing a high profile TV interview." And the shrill harpies from The View wouldn't calm down about how "great" it was.

Handlers couldn't even get Biden on one of the 11:30 late-night shows where the hosts are every bit a shill for the Democrat Party. The best the White House could do was a 12:30 show, to appeal to people who decided to watch something else. And if you're such a hardline progressive twat that you are watching Seth Meyers, you are either a party loyalist or aren't voting this year because Biden isn't pro-Hamas enough for you.
