Some of you may have spent your Black Friday beating a woman with a Ninja blender just to get the 62" television for $99 from her. Others? They were getting their background check to purchase firearms. To make sure that would never happen to them.

And when I say "others," I mean a RECORD SETTING amount of people. MOAR GUNS!

This holiday statistic is important for a number of reasons. The left's claims that we don't already have background checks (see Liberal Reporter Tries to Buy Gun for ‘Gotcha!’ Piece. Fails Background Check… and HIDDEN CAMERA: Buying Machine Guns without Background Checks?) are the hardest hit.

The FBI was flooded Friday with more than 200,000 background check requests for gun purchases, setting a new single day record, the bureau reported Saturday.

In all, the FBI fielded 203,086 requests on Black Friday, up from the previous single-day highs of 185,713 last year and 185,345 in 2015. The two previous records also were recorded on Black Friday.

Gun checks, required for purchases at federally licensed firearm dealers, are not a measure of actual gun sales. The number of firearms sold Friday is likely higher because multiple firearms can be included in one transaction by a single buyer.

Background checks. Lots of them.

It's always refreshing to see people buying more guns. Because f*** yeah, Second Amendment rights. You'll also notice how all these people were subjected to vetting before getting their hands on their shiny (or matte) new Christmas guns. No loopholes involved. You'd think the left would be happy to see this statistic, but it doesn't serve their anti-2A agenda. Sorry to disappoint, gun control advocates.

Oh, and quick protip. Anyone planning on carjacking Santa this year should know: he's most likely packing.
