Publisher of "beloved Canadian icon" Franklin the Turtle lashes out at Pete Hegeseth sharing a hilarious meme

The publisher of the cartoon series “Franklin the Turtle” is having a cow over Pete Hegseth’s use of Franklin in a meme posted on social media. This is because the left can’t take a joke, and they want everyone to be as miserable as they are.

According to Fox News:
On Sunday, Hegseth shared a meme parodying the "Franklin" series, depicting the turtle firing a rocket-propelled grenade launcher at armed men in boats under the title "Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists."
"For your Christmas wish list…" Hegseth joked when sharing the fake book cover.
Why he chose Franklin is unclear, but we are just glad he did, as the left cannot take it, and we are all here for it.

The Canadian publisher behind the "Franklin" series, Kids Can Press, condemned the secretary’s meme in a statement posted to its social media accounts the next day.
"Franklin the Turtle is a beloved Canadian icon who has inspired generations of children and stands for kindness, empathy, and inclusivity," the statement read. "We strongly condemn any denigrating, violent, or unauthorized use of Franklin’s name or image, which directly contradicts these values."
Glad they cleared things up.
The meme appeared to reference ongoing U.S. strikes on alleged drug-smuggling boats in the Caribbean, which have stirred up controversy over the last month as detractors argue that the strikes are illegal due to them not receiving congressional approval.
What exactly do the publishers think about criminals drug-smuggling substances into the United States, and how do they believe authorities should go about it? Would they prefer officials just ignored it and allowed drug smugglers to go unchecked and destroy countless American lives — all at the expense of this fake compassion?
And how exactly would the cartoon turtle take action on this? Because according to the publishers, Franklin embodies empathy — but as far as I am concerned, it's not really compassionate to have empathy for cartel members, but I digress.
Some jokes are funny, and the sooner the left admits that, the better off they will be. Until then, this is nothing more than a personal problem.
