Jodie Foster Goes Off On Working With 'Really Annoying' Gen Z: “They’re like, ‘Nah, I’m not feeling it today’”
When you tell an entire generation of kids that the most important thing in life is being true to themselves, while at the same time glorifying mental illness, you get the lack of a workforce known as Gen Z.
Actress Jodie Foster has informed us how incredibly painful it is to sometimes deal with the generation that prioritizes the self above all else.
“In a recent interview with The Guardian, published Saturday, the two-time Academy Award winner lamented how she believes many people of that generation — a.k.a those born between the mid-to-late 1990s and early 2010s — don't exactly have an ideal work ethic.
"They’re really annoying, especially in the workplace. They’re like, ‘Nah, I’m not feeling it today, I’m gonna come in at 10:30 a.m.,' " said Foster, 61. "Or, like, in emails, I’ll tell them, 'This is all grammatically incorrect — did you not check your spelling?' And they’re like, ‘Why would I do that, isn’t that kind of limiting?' "
I have no idea what it is with Gen Z, but why on earth do they not use any punctuation? Why is that even a thing? It makes things confusing. I get sending a fast text can have spelling errors and all that, but it is almost as if an entire generation has thrown out grammar, and very important things like commas, for absolutely no reason at all.
What does it even mean to claim that spell check is “limiting”? What on earth is going on? It literally does the work for you.
I don’t know much about Foster, and I highly doubt Gen Z knows who she is, but I am pretty sure she is very, very woke. And the fact that someone like her is saying these things is pretty rich considering it is probably her ideology that condones this sort of crap.
I cannot even comprehend someone telling his boss, “No, I will come in when I want to.” That sort of behavior is just baffling to me and should never be tolerated. It is entitled, narcissistic, and obnoxious. It has no place in the workplace.
That generation also got way too comfortable with the COVID work-from-home lifestyle and it seems as if they have no plans to get back to how things once were.
This is what we are now faced with as the generation who makes everything about feelings will soon begin to take over the workforce.
