🚨NEW: CNN's Harry Enten spells out GOP *ADVANTAGES* in midterms🚨

Anyone surprised by this is not paying attention.
CNN data analyst Harry Enten pointed to fresh polling that shows Republicans with clear advantages over Democrats on key issues heading into the 2026 midterms. The GOP holds a 7-point edge on the economy, 13 points on immigration, and 22 points on crime, signaling a widening trust gap that could heavily influence the outcome — and spelling trouble for the left.
Even when independents are polled, Republicans still come out ahead on the economy, crime, and immigration. This is largely because Democrats are not offering policies that many see as beneficial to everyday Americans, and instead often resort to labeling their opponents as fascists or comparing the president to Hitler. While that may reveal how strongly they feel, it does little to win over swing voters in Middle America. It also fails to help people who are struggling to get by, which is why it’s no surprise Democrats continue to post dismal polling numbers.
Can Democrats turn things around before the midterms? Possibly, but if current trends hold, it seems highly unlikely. The odds look even slimmer when considering the party’s newer standard-bearers for the next generation, such as AOC and Jasmine Crockett.
In the last election, the economy and immigration ranked as the top two issues, with public safety close behind. Republicans now hold double-digit leads on all three, which may not be surprising, but it is certainly troubling for Democrats.
These numbers are from September 2025. Trump maybe will have finished his first term sooner than you know it. After nearly 10 months of this administration, voters still recognize which side they believe is better at helping families make ends meet — and it certainly isn’t the one that struggles to deliver a clear, coherent message.
So, while left-leaning politicians run around like chickens with their heads cut off, slandering the other side at every turn, voters still know a thing or two about a thing or two. And there is nothing more dangerous for the Democratic majority than that.
