Chicago has got a multitude of problems, and a culture in favor of proactive law enforcement is most definitely not one of them. And it just so happens that all the cities and officials who enact pro-criminal policies and treat police with hostility never end up with safer communities. Because if that worked, why isn’t it working? That’s something Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson will never be able to answer, but it won’t stop him from pointing the finger and blaming everyone and everything else but himself.

He does realize he’s the most powerful man in the city, right? So if he’s suddenly had some epiphany about how to solve crime and gang violence in Chicago, it’s about time he reveals it. Because I highly doubt proactive policing has contributed to the problem — and it’s completely deranged for him to portray the police and the justice system as the enemy. In fact, we have an under-incarceration problem, proven by the fact that leftist judges keep scum on the street, leading to more crimes committed by people who should never have been released in the first place.

According to Fox 32, “A 21-year-old woman was stabbed several times while riding a CTA Blue Line train early Thursday morning on Chicago's West Side.” Is Johnson really going to blame the police for that one? According to the Chicago Times News, “A man was shot and killed in a Greater Grand Crossing home Monday afternoon, police said.” Is that also because of law enforcement?

What exactly does he think would happen if we “cured” this so-called sickness? Fewer stabbings and shootings? The Democrats have run Chicago for over a century, and yet he and the left have decided that law enforcement itself is the problem. That level of cognitive dissonance defies reality.

If he’s going to blame officers for enforcing the law, the least he could do is provide some evidence that proactive policing actually contributes to a culture of lawlessness. But he won’t, because it’s a lie. He can sit there and blame everyone and their grandmothers, but it does him no favors — even those with the IQ of a goldfish can see this man is full of it.
