People on the Left are often very miserable. And misery loves company. That is why they try to destroy everything people love, especially if it brings families and people together. And that is also why they now hate board games.

“The death of Klaus Teuber, creator of popular board game Catan, marked the passing of a board game giant.
He once recalled in an interview how the idea began to percolate in 1963 as an 11-year-old in post-war Germany.

According to Teuber, Catan was inspired by tales of Viking exploration, and it places players together on a remote island, where they must competitively collect and cultivate territory through resource extraction, trade and expansion by building roads and settlement.

In interviews, Teuber said he started creating games in the 1980s to help deal with the stress of his dental career. “I developed games to escape,” he said. “This was my own world I created.” The Settlers of Catan — renamed Catan in 2015 — wasn’t really Teuber’s own world, it was a playable version of the American dream.

Ultimately, through a set of game mechanics that motivates resource extraction in the name of settling a supposed empty land, the connection between the in-game narrative and the political histories of North America and other parts of the world is clear. As historian Lorenzo Veracini says, ‘the Settlers of Catan is really about settler colonialism.’”

No, “The Settlers of Catan” is NOT about “settler colonialism". And even if it was, who gives a crap? It’s literally a game.

I don’t know how many times I have to ask this: But can we PLEASE get a list of things that are NOT racist? That would be so much easier at this point.

This is also not the first time people on the Left have suggested that board games promote “Colonialism”.

According to a July 2023, article from Campus Reform:

“The Massachusetts Institute of Technology recommended a summer reading list of recent works from faculty and staff features subjects like 'imperialism' in board games, neoliberalism, 'queer black womanhood,' and climate change.”

And according to that list, “chess enforces social structures and class stratification.”

What does any of that even mean? And for the record, I love chess.

Anything that does not cause division is something that needs to be destroyed. And not only that, it has to be done in a way that rewrites history through efforts of vilifying Western culture.

Everyone knows that a board game can’t do any of these things. But the Left is so painfully stupid that they truly believe these inanimate objects are evil. And they are often scared of invisible things that they can’t describe. So of course they are worried that playing chess might lead to the colonization of their communities.

I don’t even understand how people this stupid can function in the real world. I don’t even think that’s possible.

To even momentarily think that playing these games might turn someone into a “colonizer” is so asinine I can’t comprehend how these people even remember to breathe in oxygen. But the scariest part about all of this is that these people vote.
