Watch: No, the Australia shooting is not about the guns...it's about Islam

A shooting happened in Australia over the weekend, and it appears it was carried out by two religiously motivated Muslims. Today’s show takes a closer look at why the problem is not guns.
According to The SMH:
More than 24 hours have passed since Australia’s deadliest mass shooting in almost three decades.
15 people were killed after Sajid Akram and his son Naveed opened fire at a Hanukkah event on Sunday evening. 26 people remain in hospital, 12 of them in a critical condition.
“Australia has banned guns and has imported Muslims to an extreme," Crowder said. “They will propose more gun restrictions and clamp down on hate speech, or right-wing extremism."
Ten-year-old Matilda was the youngest victim of the terror attack. Holocaust survivor Alex Kleytman, businessman Reuven Morrison, former police officer Peter Meagher, grandfather Tibor Weitzen, and dedicated volunteer Marika Pogany, 82, are among the dead.
“Saying hate speech has any bearing on this cannot pass the reason test at all,” Crowder said. “Same with gun bans, saying we need more strict gun control. You really can't get any more strict.”
Sajid legally owned six firearms and belonged to a recreational gun club. Police are investigating a trip the pair took to the Philippines in November. Naveed previously came to ASIO’s attention in 2019.
“Islam in the West has one goal, and this shooting has been very much in line with this goal. It's a complete takeover,” Crowder said. “You cannot claim to be a Christian and believe there are any more overwhelming evil forces than Islam. It subverts everything we believe and seeks to delegitimize it, and if you disagree, you risk being killed by those who disagree with you.”
The father is dead, and the son was shot but is currently alive.
According to Australian authorities, a range of threats is coming from the rise of right wing extremism groups.
“The left is incapable of being logical,” Crowder said. “Their initial statement didn't even really broach the subject of Islam. You will never eradicate crime or gun violence. The greatest act of evil is barring people from protecting themselves, thereby preventing them from protecting their families. This shooting absolutely would have been able to be stopped by good guys with guns.”
