AOC participated in a town hall with CNN last night, and let’s just say things went exactly as you expected.

Kaitlan Collins asked AOC if she believed illegal aliens should get free healthcare. And, well, she said yes—just not in so many words.

A simple yes or no would have sufficed, but she went through all that mental gymnastics to justify why she thinks American taxpayers should fund healthcare for foreign nationals. Because, let’s be honest, very few Americans, especially those actually paying their premiums, are on board with that.

If she wants to argue that foreign nationals deserve benefits many Americans don’t even have, she'd better be ready to back it up. She didn’t. Instead, she tried to paint herself as morally superior and pull at your heartstrings.

When she says she believes “that every person should be able to go to the doctor,” she means every single person, regardless of immigration status or criminal record, should have access to these nonexistent rights that many Americans don’t even enjoy. She has no real justification for this, other than declaring it a right because she says it is.

She fails to understand that her job is to represent Americans, not lawbreakers from other countries. The sooner she realizes that, the easier her job will be. Of course, it’s also possible she knows this and simply doesn’t care, as she pushes to trample on your rights in favor of the so-called rights of foreign nationals.

Anyone who opposes free healthcare for illegal immigrants would say that—and anyone who actually believes in giving them that healthcare wouldn’t. That says all you need to know about AOC and the current state of the Democratic Party: they’re fighting for everyone but you. But what else is new?

AOC also claimed that “rivers were on fire” because of Deloitte, a company that specializes in tax and consulting services. It’s unclear if she actually meant DuPont. If she wants to pretend she knows a thing or two, she’d better get the names right. But she won’t—because she doesn’t actually research her talking points. She hears something that sounds good and runs with it, failing to do the due diligence needed to justify her stances.

I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt here, assuming she’s just naive. Because only a tyrant wannabe would actually advocate for what she’s pushing for after doing any real research. So, while she believes she’s all in for the “little guy,” she supports policies that would make you far worse off.

Either she doesn’t realize that—or she does. Either way, both scenarios should bar her from ever being elected again. Yet, for some reason, she still pretends to know a thing or two about a thing or two. Why that is is beyond reason, but we can only hope voters do better next time. As it stands, though, it looks like it’s going to be another long year.
