You may be thinking to yourself "oh, another 'Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says a stupid thing' post." Well, on this go-round, it isn't so much what Alex said, but how she said it. Get a load of this accent:

This is what organizing looks like, this is what building power looks like, this is what changing the country looks like! It's when we choose to show up and occupy the room and talk about the things that matter most, talking about our future.

"Organizing" and "building power." Those don't at all sound like the ramblings of a megalomaniacal Bond villain.

Here's where it gets good:

Ya' know, Reverend, you bring up a funny anecdote and I'm proud to be a bartender. Ain't nuthin' wrong with dat! There's nuthin' wrong with workin' retail, foldin' clothes for other people to buy. There is nuthin' wrong with preparin' the food that your neighbors will eat. There's nuthin' wrong with drivin' the buses that'll take people to work.

Is it just me or is Alex here doing a bad Martin Luther the King impression? Or giving a loving homage to the "AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FO' DAT!" lady? One thing's for sure, Occasional-Cortex here trying so hard to appeal to the "bruthas and sistahs."

Maybe next, Alex will pull some hot sauce from her purse. Invite the voters over to her "crib" for a dice game. Take the crowd out for some chicken and waffles. Remind me, who are the racists again?

It seems like a trend among lefty politicians to affect these accents. When lefties are campaigning in the south, they expect to woo us with their piss-poor attempts at a Forrest Gump accent. When those same lefties are in the hood, they're doing everything they can to "get down" with the brown folk.

This is pandering at its most pathetic, folks. Lefties put on these fake accents and promise free stuff to us because their philosophy is a giant cesspool of suckage. Unfortunately though for them, no amount of flash will make up for their bad ideas.
