Exactly Why Trump Deserves to Be Time’s ‘Person of the Year'...
This past week Time Magazine announced Donald Trump would be their Person of the Year. This sent leftists already occupying the very far edges of sane all the way over. We've now reached a point where even the documentation of history is triggering. Donald Trump won an election against all the odds. He made a lot (dominated) the news in 2016. Good reasons to be noted as "person of the year" no? Allow me to make the case in the podcast below...
Look, if someone has made history, if they've achieved something notable, if they crushed news cycles, then perhaps, just maybe, it should be noted. Had Hillary Clinton won the election, she would've been the first female president, an automatic spiked-shoe in for Time's Person of the Year. Would conservatives everywhere have lost their little cacas over it? Not likely. Her smugness plastered on a glossy magazine would be the least of their worries. But at least the future Halloween costumes would've been set. Plus all the reasons to consult a psychiatrist. Or commit self-harm.
What leftists have done in protesting Trump being Time's Person of the Year, is prove they're opposed not just to Donald Trump, but history itself. Because as noted, Person of the Year isn't a popularity contest. It's not about who's the most liked, the best looking, or whether Obama's hypothetical son would have a beer with him. It's about the person's impact, positive or negative, on the world and/or the news. For 2o16, Trump deserved to win.
Reality is now triggering for leftists. Sure we always knew they couldn't handle reality (uh, hello the transgender push), but now even documenting reality is cause for national tantrums.
Thanks, leftists. For proving just how far to the edge you can take your cray cray.
