In a recent "60 Minutes" interview, UFC President Dana White rejected the notion that someone can be “too masculine,” insisting that masculinity itself is not inherently toxic. Correspondent Jon Wertheim, however, could not describe what it means to be “too masculine,” even though he was the one who asked the question. Instead, he tried to have White explain it, which may or may not have been an effort to gaslight White rather than address the premise. Nonetheless, even the left does not seem to know why they criticize masculinity, as evidenced by their inability to defend their point if their life depended on it.
When White described his organization as “definitely unapologetically masculine,” Wertheim questioned whether that could be risky, referencing the idea of “toxic masculinity.” White had no choice but to laugh in his face, as the question was too absurd to even comprehend.
That said, according to the internet, toxic masculinity is defined as “a set of attitudes and ways of behaving stereotypically associated with or expected of men, regarded as having a negative impact on men and on society as a whole.” It’s unclear what that actually means, or what “behaving stereotypically associated with or expected of men” even entails. What is certain, however, is that the only people who seem to view this as having a negative impact on men and society are those on the left—or those insecure about their own masculinity.
This is also why the left struggles to appeal to Gen Z males, as they label masculinity itself as “toxic,” failing not only to clearly describe the supposed negatives of male identity but also to offer alternative behaviors deemed socially acceptable by some woke feminists.
This video provides all the evidence you need to understand why the left fails to connect with the younger generation—they couldn’t be more out of touch if they tried. Why would half the population support a side that labels their very biology as “toxic”? Clearly, they won’t, which is why there’s such a desperate push to win votes they arguably don’t deserve.
That being said, it’s time to make masculinity great again, and the sooner the left stops fighting that, the better off they will be. Until then, any “toxicity” they assign to masculinity is nothing more than a personal problem—one that deserves to be mocked into oblivion.
