While it has not been 100% confirmed that James Talarico is, in fact, gay, it is factually correct that no straight man in the history of the world has a favorite drag queen. Do with that information what you will. Nonetheless, CNN is upset because Vice President JD Vance said what many were probably thinking.
According to CNN’s Jake Tapper, Republicans are scared of losing to Talarico, and he proves it through clips of Vance calling out Talarico for being the weirdo he is. The problem with this is that you don't even have to be Republican to understand there is something extremely bizarre about that man.

You are free to disagree with the vice president, but this clip speaks for itself.

Yeah, the fact that he answered that quickly and confidently says it all.
This is the other clip Vance referenced.
UNEARTHED: Texas Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico says he loves trans kids as much as his family.HOST: "Something that you love that's not family or friends?"TALARICO: "Trans children." https://t.co/zOoGkQnAb6

Again, the clips really speak for themselves, don't they? There are also so many things wrong with this statement, even though he may or may not be gay. Normal people do not talk like this, and for Tapper to claim the problem lies with Vance mocking Talarico, even though trans kids are supposedly something he loves just as much as family, deeply misses the mark. It is not okay to think like this, and it is perfectly permissible to mock people like Talarico, especially when he is running to serve the great people of Texas. Glad we cleared this up for the CNN viewers in the back.
