For some reason, the more the State of California spends on trying to solve homelessness, the worse the problem gets. It is unclear how we can go downhill from here, but this story is the best officials have got going for them, and that tells you all you need to know.

A homeless man decided he wanted to sleep on top of a bus stop. So, he did just that. He somehow brought his belongings, as well as a shopping cart, to make his very own bed, and the fact that no one is surprised is the most California thing in the history of things.

A secret homeless encampment perched on the top of a bus stop has been discovered in the wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood.
A man could be seen lying on top of the bus stop in one image with some personal belongings and a shopping cart nearby, according to KTLA video.
A spokesperson for Councilmember Traci Park told KTLA her office sent a homeless outreach worker to the area to understand what was happening. City workers were also seen at the location.
Look. We are either a country with laws or we are not. We are either the first world or we are not. We are either trying to fix the homelessness epidemic, or we are encouraging it. California would like to stand on the former part of all three of those accusations because of equity or whatever.
It truly is not that complicated. All officials have to do is enforce the laws, like the city and state are even remotely akin to the first world. But hand it to California leftists to turn the most uncomplicated thing into a complicated mess that will never get solved.
The sighting comes as the city continues looking for solutions to homelessness with the mayoral election approaching — a competition between Councilmember Nithya Raman and Mayor Karen Bass.
All they have to do is ban criminality, and the homeless crisis will decrease exponentially. And if I did not know any better, I might just say the left has no intent of solving any of this, but I do know better, so I will not be saying that. Nonetheless, this needs to end yesterday. Unclear what is taking so long, so draw your own conclusions.
