The favorite talking point among teachers and those who support teachers is how they’re all the love children of Gandhi and Rose from Titanic. They’re heroes, real heroes, and deserve to be paid every single penny we have — despite American public schools being as educational as MTV. The solution we’ve suggested on the right is privatizing schools so teachers and school systems can compete. Here to prove privatizing schools works best for everyone, John Stossel.

It’s actually quite simple: if you’re a private company, competing with other companies, you’re forced to perform at your best, lest you fail and are no longer a solvent company. It’s no different for schools. The best schools would have the best teachers, and have the most students, therefore would make the most pay. Everyone wins, especially the students, but also the teachers raking in the cash (like the teacher in South Korea).
But when teachers get paid regardless of their performance, there’s no reason to do well. If I handed you eighty grand a year to sit on your ass, and you had tenure and couldn’t be fired, where’s the incentive to do well? Seems the real incentive at that point is to eye the students, to see which one is most deserving of a perverted fantasy of yours. Of course not all teachers are sex perverts. But let’s stop pretending all teachers fart rainbows.
The solution to most government problems is to remove the government and therefore solve the problem: make schools private, give parents the choice for their kids. For more John Stossel John Stossel Exposes The Real Numbers on Global Mass Shootings.
