CNN uncovers surprising polling detail that could swing the midterms to the GOP...in New York?

One key reason the right regained control of the House in 2022 was pick-ups in New York. Outside New York City, voters saw what the city was turning into and didn't want it infesting their suburbs. And that was before low-information urbanites elected an Islamist with a TikTok hype house for mayor. It's happening again in 2026, as Jewish voters are saying to themselves, "Self, maybe the pro-Hamas - sorry, I mean the 'Free Palestine' - Democrat Party isn't a place for us anymore."
Allow me to say the quiet part out loud. Yes, the side expecting to lose in November ALWAYS combs the subtabs of polls looking for any glimmer of good news. We all do it. However, as CNN's "We're Just Wild About" Harry Enten points out, in a state with the most Jewish voters in the country, these numbers are massive.
A bright spot for the GOP... In the state (NY) with the most Jewish voters, the GOP has historically strong midterm polling with them.Hochul's polling 38 pts worse among them than in 2022.On the House ballot, Dems are doing 36 pts worse.Mamdani's image is well underwater. https://t.co/QdTWPHjCDe

The streets are saying the Democrat Party has made the decision to throw Jewish voters under the bus in favor of pandering to Muslim voters instead. This was before the regular pro-Hamas rallies started to take place in New York City on October 8, 2023. It also explains Hochul cosplaying like she's literally in The Handmaid's Tale.

Could this be reading too much into a subtab of a poll? Mayhaps. No one expects New York to be competitive, so not a lot of attention is paid to it. However, in 2024, Kamala Harris did the WORST than any other Democrat presidential candidate since 1988, the last year a Republican won the state.
This is also just based on the people who responded to pollsters. If other right-leaning voters in the state have had the same experience I have had over the past 12-15 years of expressing the most milquetoast of opinions on Facebook or MySpace and having every liberal I've ever known in my life come out of the woodwork to attack, they may not be receptive to a stranger calling to ask them their opinions on Trump and The Zohran.
Bottom line? Twenty or so days until Election Day. Vote. Make sure your friends and family are voting too.
